Combination SNCB - STIB

STIB tram The ideal Railcard if you're combining rail use and STIB travel.

If you regularly travel by rail and also use STIB buses, trams or metros to go to work or school, this is the Railcard for you.

To get this Railcard combined with the STIB network (available immediately at the station ticket office), your departure or destination station must belong to the Brussels zone or Ruisbroek, Lot, Buda or Vilvorde.

As from 1 June 2010, STIB will be installing fare gates at metro stations. Travellers using SNCB/STIB season tickets will then receive a MoBIB card in addition to their ticket. A single purchase in the station suffices to receive your MoBIB card that goes with your Railcard.

Please note: The MoBIB card covers all your travel with the STIB (except the segment of line 12 between the NATO and Brussels Airport stops and line N71).

The price bonus

An STIB fixed fee is added to the Railcard price.

** For -25-year-olds holding a School Railcard which is valid for 12 months, it's more advantageous to buy the STIB season ticket separately.

Note

  • If you are aged under 25 and want to buy a 12-months’ season ticket, we recommend you to buy your School Traincard and STIB season ticket separately. That will turn out cheaper!
  • If you are 25 or older and want to pay per month or per 3 months, then the STIB supplement to SNCB is your best option.

Calculate the price of your Railcard for yourself.

Don't forget to add the STIB fee to find out the total cost of your Railcard.
