Where and how to validate your Railcard

There are different possibilities to validate your Railcard or to extend your subscription: in a station, over the counter, on the ticket dispenser or on line.

At the station (tickets office or automatic dispenser)

You can just go to the station of your choice. All you have to do is let them know your Railcard number (the 12-figure number shown on the main card) and say how long you want to validate your Railcard for (1 week, 1, 3 or 12 months). The validation ticket can be purchased from the 31st day before the new validity period.

On line

You can easily validate your Journey, Network, School, Half-time Railcard or Campus using our "Ticket on line" service. It'll only take you a few moments to enter your request, using your rail card number, your date of birth and the date when your new validation starts.

Practical, simple, and reliable

Just like buying tickets, the Ticket on Line procedure consists of severay easy stages.

  1. Visit www.sncb.be and select “buy on line”.
  2. Enter your Railcard number, your date of birth and the validation date you require. The validation ticket can be purchased between 31 and 10 days before the new validity period.
  3. Enter the period for which you would like to validate your Railcard and you will immediately be told the price.
  4. Enter the address you would like it delivered to if this is different from your home address, and the details of the person who will be making the payment.
  5. You can also check out the balance of your electronic wallet before you make the payment. To pay the balance, you can choose between Visa, MasterCard, American Express and ING Home'Pay, KBC, CBC online and Dexia.

After you have made your application, you will receive a confirmation e-mail.

Your new validation ticket will be posted to you the first working day after validation.
