Ticket combined with a city area

train guard giving information

When you buy your ticket, you can combine your destination station with a city area by travelling with TEC or on the STIB network.

This means that on this ticket, in addition to the SNCB/NMBS journey shown, you can travel on the buses, trams and/or metro in the city area in question all day.

Ticket + STIB city area

As from 1 June 2010, STIB will be installing fare gates at metro stations. Travellers using SNCB/STIB (NMBS/MIVB) combined tickets (fixed price from 4,00 EUR* included)  will then receive a disposable chip card in addition to their ticket.

  • You can use the "STIB city area" if your destination station is in the Brussels zone.

Ticket + TEC city area

You receive just one ticket, to which a fixed price from 3,00 EUR* is added.

  • You can use the "TEC city area" if you are travelling to one of the following stations: Arlon, Charleroi, Dinant, La Louvière, Liège, Mons, Mouscron, Namur, Tournai and Verviers.
