Stair-lift
We make every effort to continually improve the accessibility of our trains and stations. In the long term, we would like passengers with reduced mobility to be able to use the train without needing outside assistance. In the meantime, before all the necessary works and improvements are completed, we are offering an alternative solution: the stair-lift. After a successful trial period, some support teams will be equipped with a stair-lift.
Stair-lifts provide the means for wheelchair users to go up and down stairs. Our B-For-You assistance personnel will help you to install your wheelchair on the stair-lift, which will then tilt slightly, allowing you to go up or down the steps in complete safety.
The equipment provides a practical, safe solution for those who need to negotiate stairs with a wheelchair. It can be used both indoors and outdoors, and is extremely robust and stable, offering the highest levels of comfort and safety, with a safety belt and adjustable-height headrest.
The stair-lift can carry wheelchairs weighing up to 200 kg including the user and your wheelchair must fit on a platform of 69 cm to 89 cm.
