Passenger rights and Terms and conditions for transport

By travelling with SNCB/NMBS Mobility, you are entering into an agreement between you as a passenger and us as transport operator. This page lists all legal aspects of our agreements. You can download the statutory format of our Terms and conditions for transport (only available in French (PDF 7 Mb) or Dutch (PDF 7Mb)) here.

Download our brochure “Passenger's Charter - Your rights. Our commitments (pdf)”. It will give you an overview of the measures we are adopting to protect your rights.

Information on rail passenger rights can be found on the European Commission website.

Supervisory authority

In compliance with Regulation 1371/2007, a supervisory authority is appointed in each country of the European Union. In Belgium, this is the Directorate General of the Land Transport Department of the Ministry for Mobility and Transport. Its mission is to ensure the proper application by rail operators of the measures laid out in the European Regulation 1371/2007. This Authority takes the necessary measures to guarantee the respect of passengers’ rights.

Complaints may be submitted to this Authority in the event of any infractions of the measures laid out in this European Regulation.
