What's an electronic purse?
As holder of a railcard (1), you get a free Electronic Purse on which your compensation will be stored in case of a train delay.
If you use several Railcards, the different railcard numbers must be linked up in order to create your Electronic Purse. To do this, just ask at the ticket office.
You can use your Electronic Purse at the ticket counter each time you buy one of the following SNCB products for domestic traffic (2): tickets, traincard validations, Passes and so on.
(1) This offer applies to holders of a Journey Railcard, a School traincard, a Campus card or a Half-time railcard
(2) Except for tickets that are not sold via our ticketing system such as Jump cards, season tickets for metro, tram or bus, etc
